How overtime pay is worked out
Overtime rate = your hourly rate × the multiplier. Time and a half is 1.5×, double time is 2×. For example, at $28.00 an hour, time and a half is $42.00 an hour and double time is $56.00.
NZ law has no set overtime rate. It depends on your employment agreement.
